As an introduction, Cyberjaya is a small planned urban town in state of Selangor, Malaysia. It is about 30 minutes to 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. As a small town, Cyberjaya was built specially for IT infrastructures and operational within Malaysia. Cyberjaya was officially launched in 1997 as part of the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) initiative in Malaysia. Hence, there are lot of Data Center build in this small planned urban.
Talking about the living cost if compared to her neighbours Putrajaya and Kota Warisan, there are many factors that we should considers. To make it short, rental house in Cyberjaya cheaper than Putrajaya but more expensive if compared to Kota Warisan.

Based on our research over internet and through our own observations, Cyberjaya is home to over 100 multinational corporations (MNCs) in the IT sector. Notable companies include Dell, HP, and IBM, among others. The area has developed into a significant tech hub in Malaysia.
How Many Shopping Complex in Cyberjaya?
Generally there are 3 shopping complexes located in Cyberjaya Selangor as of September 2024. These 3 shopping complexes are among the practical location most visited by the Cyberians. If you are planning or just started staying in Cyberjaya and looking place to buy something goods or foods you may visit these 3 shopping complexes as below:
- DPULZE Shopping Centre
- Cyberjaya Shopping Centre
- Econsave Cyberjaya
Where to Watch Movie In Cyberjaya?
Well if you are planning to hangout on weekend for a movie, there is only one shopping complex in Cyberjaya does have cinema. It is DPULZE Shopping Centre which features a cinema operated by TGV Cinemas. This cinema offers a range of films, including the latest releases and popular blockbusters. If you’re looking for specific movie times or upcoming films, I can help with that too!
Apart from DPULZE Shopping Centre, Cyberian also prefer to go Alamanda Shopping Centre and IOI Putrajaya Shopping Centre for movie time. Perhaps, the facilities there much better than DPULZE due to the size. DPULZE Shopping Centre is not that huge or big shopping centre you might think.
Attractive Towns Nearby
As a small urban town, Cyberjaya is sharing land boarder with another small town in Sepang district there are Kota Warisan and Putrajaya. Those working in Cyberjaya also some of them prefer to stay at Kota Warisan or Putrajaya due to the cost living in Kota Warisan that much cheaper and suitable for those who want to live on the landed houses.
Both Putrajaya and Kota Warisan have better facilities in term of educations and entertainment if compared to Cyberjaya. There are many government and private schools located in Putrajaya and Kota Warisan that you can choose to send your kids there while working at Cyberjaya. This options are mostly chose by the expat who bring ablong their family in Malaysia to work.
Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA
Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA located at Sepang, nearby the airport. Another shopping complex that quite popular among Cyberians. It’s a shopping destination featuring a variety of brands and dining options. To get here, it is convenient for you to travel by car or motorcycle. Only 15-20 minutes need to go here from Cyberjaya.
In Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA, they offers a wider range of outlet shopping options, including international brands at discounted prices. Hence no wonder many Cyberian prefer to come here than DPULZE. This is based on our admin experience as well during the moment working in Cyberjaya back then in 2018.
AEON Mall Nilai, Negeri Sembilan
Another shopping complex that familiar among Cyberian is the AEON Mall Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. This shopping complex located at Bandar Baru Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. It usually takes around 20-30 minutes from Cyberjaya, Selangor. This AEON Mall Nilai is the second biggest shopping complex we mentioned in this article after the IOI Putrajaya.
Apart from shopping, there are also a recreation park “Dataran Nilai” nearby this shopping complex that usually will having an event at the end of the month. You can bring along your family and spending time playing kites, e-bike and many more activities at Dataran Nilai that happening during weekends.
Dataran Nilai quite happening and fully occupied during year end events and during weekends event. Mostly at night, there are crowd in there spending bonding time with their kids and friends. You may also can try the street foods nearby Dataran Nilai.

Popular Shopping Complex Among Cyberjaya Peoples – There are only three shopping complexes located at Cyberjaya, Selangor. Most of them not as bis as what we might think about. IOI Putrajaya Shopping Complex is the biggesr shopping mall in Malaysia listed in this article. While AEON Nilai Negeri Sembilan become the second biggest shopping complexes in our list. While Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA is the most suitable for those who want to find the luxuries brand and international brands.
As a bonus, we also mentioned about the cinemas that popular among Cyberjaya peoples. Almost all the shopping complexes we mentioned in this article featured with cinema operated by TGV Cinemas, MBO, and many more except Econsave and Cyberjaya Shopping Centre.
